SEPTA Senior Fare Cards
Adults ages 65 and older with a valid SEPTA Senior Fare Card ride free on SEPTA buses, trolleys, and Metro services. Regional Rail travel is also free when both the departure and arrival stations are in Pennsylvania. Discounted fares apply for Regional Rail travel to or from New Jersey and Delaware.
DCTMA provides free assistance with new applications and renewals through individual appointments at our office at 102 West Front Street, Media, PA 19063. Office services are available by appointment only.

What to bring:
- A valid photo ID showing your date of birth.
- Your existing SEPTA Senior Fare Card, if renewing.
You must be at least 65 years old on the day your application is processed.
We can also arrange onsite Senior Fare Card registration and renewal events for organizations in Delaware County. Contact info@dctma.org or 610-892-9440 to request an event.
How long will my card take to arrive?
Please allow 3–4 weeks for your card to arrive in the mail after DCTMA processes your application or renewal. Your old card will be deactivated within a few days after your renewal is processed. Plan ahead if you rely on your card for travel.
What if I need my card sooner?
SEPTA Headquarters offers appointments for immediate, in-person card processing at 1234 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Call 215-580-7145, then press 6, or schedule an appointment online. Walk-ins are not guaranteed same-day service.

SEPTA University Pass Programs
SEPTA offers participating colleges and universities options to make public transportation more affordable for students.
Key Advantage UPass
Colleges and universities can provide deeply discounted All-Access Passes to eligible students. Passes are loaded onto students’ SEPTA Key cards and provide access to SEPTA buses, trolleys, Metro, and Regional Rail. Participation is arranged through the institution; students cannot purchase UPass individually.
Key Semester Pass
Participating colleges and universities can offer discounted semester passes to students who choose to enroll. Available passes and enrollment requirements depend on the participating institution.

SEPTA Key Advantage for Employers
SEPTA Key Advantage allows participating employers to provide eligible employees with deeply discounted All-Access Monthly Passes. Passes are loaded directly onto employees’ SEPTA Key cards and can be used for commuting and other trips on SEPTA buses, trolleys, Metro, and Regional Rail.
The program can help employers support their workforce, expand commuting options, and reduce demand for parking. Participation is arranged through the employer.

Reduced Fare Program
Eligible riders with disabilities can apply for a SEPTA Reduced Fare Card to receive half-price fares on SEPTA services. An application and eligibility verification are required.
