The Delaware County Transportation Management Association (DCTMA) with over 70 members seeks a creative and outstanding leader to fill the position of Executive Director.
DCTMA Summary
DCTMA is a private, non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to improving the transportation network serving the county. The mission of the DCTMA is to provide a forum where employers; local, county, and state agencies; and transit authorities can cooperatively address transportation issues and coordinate cost-effective and efficient strategies. Through coordinated planning and cooperative efforts, the DCTMA helps to promote a cleaner, healthier environment, sustain the quality of life, and enhance the economic vitality of Delaware County.
The DCTMA is funded in part by grants from PennDOT and the DVRPC. Members of the DCTMA are Delaware County businesses, financial institutions, colleges and universities, non-profits, engineers and planners, etc. The DCTMA works to reduce the use of the single occupancy vehicle by commuters, by offering alternative transportation options.
Job Description – Executive Director
The chosen candidate will be responsible for marketing Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies to educate county businesses on alternative transportation, creating and planning events, working with developers, engineers and planners to promote multi-modal transportation including commuter cycling, managing and overseeing the staff, grant writing, enhancing the level of excellence in member programs and services, driving membership levels, enhancing the use of technology to benefit members, being fiscally responsible and building fruitful relationships with businesses, and elected officials, among other duties. This role is an outstanding opportunity for the right individual to have a positive impact on sustainable travel in Delaware County.
